Weighing in at 139 grams, Lew’s Custom Lite SLP baitcasting reel is the lightest baitcasting reel manufactured by Lew’s. Lew’s SLP, i.e. “Super Low Profile”, is a baitcasting reel developed by Lew’s with a particularly low profile. The compact design is made possible by the use of an innovative spool with a diameter of 32 mm or less. The spool was designed to accelerate quicker than larger spools without sacrificing power or performance, which means that lighter lures are easier to cast. The SLP model enables a lower center of gravity when mounted to a rod, thus improving balance and allowing for easy and ergonomic operation.
