The new, larger Shimano Curado K 300 is your choice when going after larger pike and other bragging fish. Curado K has long been popular and Curado K 300 continues on the same victorious path. The Curado K 300 reel also has a strong and lightweight aluminum Hagane body and a VBS brake system that ensure tangle-free casting. The reel is equipped with a strong Shimano Cross Carbon drag that always performs at a consistent level and thus avoids stressing the line.

Baitcasting reels are prone to backlashes when casting, but Shimano’s revolutionary VBS system eliminates this problem effectively. Before VBS, all baitcasting reels used a magnetic system to prevent backlashes. However, the magnetic system can also reduce your casting length. VBS utilizes the centrifugal force to produce friction that prevents the spool from rotating excessively and this function is only activated once the spool speed threatens to become too fast.
